Today I get to add two more contemporary stamps to my collection as my order from Magyar Posta arrived. These are two beautiful stamps…
These were issued on March 4, 2011, as part of the Tourism series. According to Magyar Posta’s page about this issue, the 160f stamp (Sc# 4186, on the left) shows Sátoraljaújhely (a 750-year old town) featuring the last station of the Hungarian Cavalry with the tops of the Cathedral of St. Stephen and the town hall visible. The 220f stamp (Sc# 4187, on the right) shows Gödöllő Castle, which is situated northeast of Budapest.
